Abibat Durosimi is the founder of Bloom Agency, a full-service boutique agency based in Portland, Oregon, that specializes in fashion, production, wellness, and creativity. Established in 2017 as Bloom Beauty Collective, the agency began by curating immersive experiences in the Northwest's apparel and fashion industry. It has since evolved to unite BIPOC creative entrepreneurs, fostering collaborations and producing impactful branded media content. Bloom Agency is committed to empowering underrepresented communities by providing mentorship, internships, and hands-on workshops through its non-profit initiative, Bloom By Design.
With over 15 years of experience as a natural hair stylist and celebrity makeup artist, Abibat has been a pivotal figure in promoting diversity and inclusion within the creative industries. Her leadership has positioned Bloom Agency as a hub for culturally diverse talent, offering platforms such as the Bloom Runway—the largest Black-led fashion show in the Northwest—to showcase and elevate BIPOC creatives. Through her work, Abibat continues to break down barriers, connecting communities with valuable opportunities and contributing to a more vibrant and inclusive creative landscape.
