Olajumoke "Ola" Elkanah is a passionate entrepreneur and community leader dedicated to sharing the rich culinary traditions of West Africa. In 2010, she established Flourish Beauty Palace in Salem, Oregon, and soon recognized a significant gap in the availability of African food products in the region. Motivated by her love for cooking and a desire to make African cuisine accessible, Ola expanded her business to include Flourish Spices and African Food, offering a wide range of authentic spices, mixes, and ingredients essential for West African dishes.
Under Ola's leadership, Flourish Spices and African Food has become a community hub, providing not only products but also cooking classes and catering services to educate and immerse others in African culinary arts. Her commitment to quality and authenticity has led to her products being featured in local markets such as Market of Choice and New Seasons.
Beyond her business endeavors, Ola is an ordained pastor and author, actively engaging in ministry and outreach programs, including support for women and children with special needs.
